World-renowned leaders to be featured in New Maryland, The Leadercast event is broadcast LIVE from Atlanta

World-renowned leaders to be featured in New Maryland
LeaderCast 2015 (1)
Fredericton NB—Community and business leaders can access the knowledge and experience of world-renowned leaders by attending Leadercast® at Faith Baptist Church in New Maryland on Friday May 8, at 10:00
The Leadercast event is broadcast LIVE from Atlanta, GA to hundreds of sites around the world, including Fredericton. This year’s speaker lineup includes:
  • Andy Stanley - Leadership author and communicator
  • Malala Yousafzai - Nobel Laureate; Founder, The Malala Fund
  • Ed Catmull - President of Pixar & Disney Animation Studios
  • Seth Godin - Best-selling Author
  • Rudy Giuliani - 107th Mayor of New York City (1993-2001)
  • Aja Brown - Mayor, City of Compton
  • Bill McDermott - CEO of SAP AG
  • CMDR Rorke Denver - Navy SEAL Commander & Author
  • Bill & Giuliana Rancic - Award-Winning Personalities & Co-Hosts of Leadercast
  • And more!
Last year, over 130,000 leaders from 35 countries attended Leadercast. Now, in its 16th year, this full day, experiential conference is on track to reach it’s largest audience to date.
“It is one of the single most consolidated sources of leadership that I know of,” said 2014 attendee John Doe, Senior Manager at ABC & Co. “But it goes beyond that. I think this conference, although very focused on leadership, transcends the topic and really shows you how to lead in life.”
Leadercast exists to positively change the way the world thinks about leadership. This year’s theme—The Brave Ones — challenges leaders to lead with a sense of Bravery, possessing a posture of unrelenting boldness. Bring your friends or team members to experience Leadercast and discover what it means to be a leader worth following.
For more information about Leadercast, visit www.leadercast.com. For local ticketing information, call 506-459-8756 or visit www.faithbaptistchurch.ca . The cost is $100.

FROM CANADA’S HUGGABLE CAR DEALER… THE JIM GILBERT’S WHEELS AND DEALS HUG OF THE WEEK GOES TO… NASHWAAKSIS LIONS CLUB… AND THEIR RECENT “READ AND ROAR”, AT FREDERICTON PUBLIC LIBRARIES !! A BOOK FOR EACH CHILD… 600 IN TOTAL, WORTH 3-THOUSAND DOLLARS !! THANK YOU, LIONS !!
The Nashwaaksis Lions Club in Fredericton has joined forces with the city’s three public libraries to promote reading.
The organization donated $3,000 worth of brand new books to children in Fredericton during the Read & Roar Book Giveaway Saturday.
Children who stopped by one of the city’s three public libraries were able to choose a brand new book to take home with them.
Richard Buchanan, a member of the Lions Club, says they wanted to do their part to help improve global literacy rates.
Buchanan says they were able to buy the roughly 600 books through fundraising efforts like a weekly radio bingo, bottle drives and ticket drives.
He says the organization will evaluate Saturday’s event, and may consider doing it on a regular basis in the future.

The Fredericton Sexual Assault Crisis Centre is a volunteer organization whose primary goal is reflected in a commitment to end sexual violence against women and children.
We strive to meet this goal through two broad activities, namely:

  • public education
  • providing direct services to those affected by sexual violence
Our History
The Centre was formed in the summer of 1975 as a result of local community concern regarding the need for sexual assault services. By January 1976, with a grant and support of volunteers, the Centre was able to offer a 24-hour phone service.
We are supported by donations, fundraising, the United Way/Centraide(Central N.B.), foundations, corporations and project grants.
You can become involved by:

  • supporting the centre – all donations are tax deductible and gratefully accepted
  • becoming a volunteer
  • inviting us to address your group.

Shout out to The Man of Deal-Will Venator, “He wasn’t pushy, he was very knowledgeable and patient and he took the time to explain things”-Where there is a Will, there is a way!! Wheels and Deals, Fredericton, Used Car Deals

Experience:I would rate my experience as 10. Will Venator was excellent! He was the perfect Sale person for someone like me. He wasn’t pushy, he was very knowledgeable and patient and he took the time to explain things. I could tell he was sincere and honest with me. I got the impression that your entire staff also possess the same qualities. They always greeted me when I came in the door and made sure that someone was looking after me. I must also add that your office building is beautiful. I certainly was not expecting it to look like that when I walked through the door!
Future Referrals: Yes! Great place to buy a practically brand new quality vehicle without the brand new vehicle price tag!
We drive by Wheels and Deals all the time and had recently been considering buying a new car. We had been debating whether we should buy new or used. My husband had looked at your Website and seen a Toyota Camry that had low miles and a good price. We drove through your lot a couple of times and talked to Will both times; that is when we found the Maxima. I could also say it had a lot to do with word of mouth as well. Will came to Doaktown for our annual parade and I was talking to my friend’s sister, when his float went by. She told me that she had bought her car from Wheels and Deals just a few months earlier and was really impressed with the service and experience that she had. She said that Wheels and Deals is not like your average used car dealership. She didn’t know that we were thinking about buying a car there but her opinion sure meant a lot!
You have a wonderful business full of dedicated hardworking staff. The atmosphere is amazing. You guys are doing something right. Keep up the excellent work!
Thank you Angela for your confidence in Jim Gilbert’s Wheels & Deals- Canada’s Huggable Car Dealer.
Welcome to the Wheels & Deals family!

Experience:We had a fantastic experience! This is mine and Michael’s second vehicle purchase from Jim Gilbert’s and my third and everything we have received exceptional customer service! I would rate our experience with Justin and the team a definite 10!
Future Referrals: We have already recommended the dealership to several of our family and friends and will continue to do so! We chose wheels and deals based on our previous experience and will definitely be back when we are ready to buy our next vehicle!

Shout out to Justin Roy, "he went above and beyond to find one that worked for me like features and also fitting in my budget range", Wheels and Deals, Fredericton, Used Car Deals

Experience: 10/10   From the popcorn and water to a nice place to site while waiting. For Justin to stay late so we could take the truck home that night to show our two boys was amazing. It was our first truck and our kids were so excited. I need to say the teddy bear was a nice touch with the kids as well, they sleep with him every night.

Future Referrals: Anyone looking for advice from me as to where to shop for a new car I will send them to Jim Gilbert's Wheels and deals for the great selection of vehicle’s and the service. I have always heard good things about Wheels and Deals from the price to the excellent website and the service you receive while shopping for a new car or truck. I told Justin what I was looking for in a truck and how he went above and beyond to find one that worked for me like features and also fitting in my budget range as well . Excellent service thanks to Justin Roy and the entire team at Wheel’s and Deal’s I will be back for sure.

Thank you Jody for your confidence in Jim Gilbert’s Wheels & Deals- Canada’s Huggable Car Dealer.

Shout out to Tony Grant, “Tony was really great, patient and helpful”, Wheels and Deals, Fredericton, Used Car Deals

Experience: Tony was really great, patient and helpful, we were over a month looking and I never felt any pressure at all from Tony. He answered all our questions and we knew we had his full attention and time. I would give him a 10, far above average. We had spent nearly 2 months total looking, there is a reason we stop checking anywhere else after talking with Tony and simply waited until the right vehicle came in.
Future Referrals: Yes we definitely would recommend Wheels and Deals, without question.Word of mouth is why we came to Wheels and Deals, it is nice to know you are dealing with a place with such an impeccable reputation that you feel secure in the knowledge that you will always be taken care of. Their standards on the vehicles they sell is second to none.
Thank you Glen for your confidence in Jim Gilbert’s Wheels & Deals- Canada’s Huggable Car Dealer.

Shout out to the Man of Deal-Will Venator…. “very knowledgeable about the vehicle and not too pushy in attempting to make a sale”-Where there is a Will, there is a way!Wheels and Deals, Fredericton,Used Car Deals

Experience: Will Venator was very helpful while we were looking for a vehicle. Very knowledgeable about the vehicle and not too pushy in attempting to make a sale. On a scale of 1 to 10 I will rate my experience with Wheels and Deals as an 8 at this point, due to the fact that I’m rating this not quite a month after my purchase so don’t feel my experience with Wheels and Deals has been completed yet.
Future Referrals:In fact I have already and I believe she has also made a purchase as well from Will.I had been looking around for a new vehicle at other car dealers for a while & had looked at the Ford Escape but the price was totally out of our budget. Our neighbour had mentioned they have had good experiences with Wheels and Deals on their purchase of vehicles from you and that you were very helpful if they had any problems and suggested we go have a look, which we did. Luckily you had what I was looking for, excellent condition with low mileage and a more affordable price.
Thank you Elaine for your confidence in Jim Gilbert’s Wheels & Deals- Canada’s Huggable Car Dealer.

Young Adult Cancer Canada http://www.youngadultcancer.ca
Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) was established in 2000 (originally as RealTime Cancer) by Geoff Eaton after his first cancer challenge. Geoff’s vision focused on educating and supporting young adults. At the core of that vision was the belief that cancer–like all of life’s challenges–brings with it valuable lessons and experiences. For the first three years of operation, which included a cancer relapse and additional treatment for Geoff, YACC focused on the school program and delivery of positive messages to young adults. During a meeting with a mentor on the morning of the 2003 golf tournament, Geoff began a process that would fundamentally change YACC’s vision and operations, while keeping the values and beliefs fully intact.
The cause
YACC research revealed that over 7,000 young adults were diagnosed in Canada each year, that their survival rates were virtually unchanged since the 1970s, and–most importantly–there were no readily-available and relevant support programs to help young adults with cancer deal with the very unique issues they face. Life is different in your teens, 20s and 30s; it just makes sense it’s different with cancer, too. Young adults with cancer need and deserve an organization wholly focused on providing customized support programs to help them deal with their cancer experience. Given there was not one organization in Canada with this as its focus the vision was obvious: YACC had to be that national cancer organization providing resources for young adults looking for inspiration, information and support.

FROM CANADA’S HUGGABLE CAR DEALER… THE JIM GILBERT’S WHEELS AND DEALS HUG OF THE WEEK GOES TO… THE SECOND ANNUAL SPECIAL OLYMPICS GALA !! IT’S A NIGHT OF CELEBRATION AND INSPIRATION… WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25th AT CASINO N-B IN MONCTON !! BE THERE !!
logo_special-olympics
Founded in 1968 by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, the Special Olympics movement has grown to include nearly 3.7 million athletes in 229 accredited programs in 170 countries, including Canada.
On June 9, 1969, in Toronto, Ontario, the very first Special Olympics national competition was held, less than one year after the sport movement was born on Chicago’s Soldier Field. It attracted 1,400 individuals with an intellectual disability from towns and cities across our country. In 1979 the Special Olympics movement came east and 3 devoted individuals in the Riverview area incorporated Special Olympics New Brunswick.
Since our humbling initiation as a registered charitable non-profit organization Special Olympics New Brunswick has grown to offer sport and recreation opportunities to approximately 500 people with an intellectual disability. We are also supported by nearly 200 dedicated volunteers; some of which have been involved for over 30 years!
At Special Olympics New Brunswick it is our mission to enhance the lives of New Brunswickers with and intellectual disability through sport. It is our goal to grow our organization and continually increase the number of athletes and volunteers.
